All Walden Families are welcome to join us!
Solar Eclipse Event
April 8, 2024
Viewing Time: 3:05-3:10pm
Families are welcome to join students on Monday, April 8th for Walden's Solar Eclipse Event! A total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada and will be at it's maximum in Walden's green space between 3:05 and 3:10pm. Louisville will have around a 90% totality view based on good weather.
Walden's K-12 faculty science team has put together an afternoon of learning and fun in preparation for the big event. We have ordered glasses for the students and staff only. If you are wanting your family to have their own solar eclipse experience that day, we will give your student an excused absence that day. See below for Walden's solar eclipse schedule. Please note that school dismissal will begin at 3:30pm for the entire school.
