Who we are

Walden School is an independent, progressive K–12 private school in Louisville, Kentucky, serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Located in St. Matthews, Walden combines small classes, personalized instruction, inquiry-based learning, and a close-knit community to help students thrive academically, creatively, and personally.

For more than 50 years, Walden has provided a college-preparatory education designed to develop curious, confident, compassionate, and independent thinkers. Students have opportunities to pursue rigorous academics, the arts, athletics, leadership, and service throughout their K–12 experience.
