MISSION STATEMENT

Grandparents are an integral and important part of a child's support system and provide a bridge between parents and kids. They provide their kindness, expertise, support, and services to the Walden community. The Grandparents Club is an opportunity for grandparents to be involved in the school life of their grandchildren through supporting our teaching staff, offering time to volunteer during school events, and connecting Walden to others in the community.

Grandparents near and far are welcome to join!

Whether you are in Louisville or abroad, all Walden grandparents are welcome to join the club. All folks that sign up receive a special welcome packet and Walden gift!

Grandparents Club Fund

Launched in 2023, the Grandparents Club Fund is a restricted gift fund to sustain the ongoing development and support of Walden’s Grandparents Club. We realize there are many grandparents who, for myriad reasons, are unable to attend the meetings or be on campus for special events. We wanted to offer an opportunity for you to show your support for all of the Grandparent Club events and activities.

Your gift goes directly to support the Grandparents Club’s mission of supporting our teaching staff.

There is a gift limit of $25 per household per year.

Please Give a gift today to have a lasting impact on our Walden teachers!

Who we are

We all have heroes, and one of ours is Dr. Albert Schweitzer who said, “…one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.”

And what a blessing it is when we are able to serve and have fun with people especially important to us … like our own grandchildren their classmates, and their teachers.

The Walden Grandparents Club gives us all an opportunity to do just that. There are many ways to participate, even if you don’t live nearby. We hope you’ll be part of the Grandparents Club.
— David and Judy Moose, Grandparents Club Co-Chairs

We feel that grandparents are the dots that connect the lines from generation to generation. Being active members of Walden’s Grandparents Club gives us this opportunity!

Being the grandparent of a Walden student is so much more than having lunch with your grandchild once a year. You are embraced as part of the Walden family, and you have the opportunity to join the Grandparents Club. This group, which meets monthly, is involved with many different facets of Walden life. It offers a great opportunity to share your time and talents and to be involved in making a difference at Walden.
