FACTS FAMILY PORTAL (REQUIRED)
All families and students (both new and returning) will need to log into the new FACTS Family portal to update their demographic, medical, and family information in preparation for the 2024-25 school year.
Walden Family Information Forms (REquired)
To login into your FACTS Family Portal, please use these instructions to create an account. For parents, make sure you create an account using the email that Walden has on file for you. For students, make sure you use your Walden School email address.
WALDEN FAMILY INFORMATION FORMS (REQUIRED)
Once logged in, all families (both new and returning) will need to update their family and student information using the built-in web forms. To access those, click on “Web Forms” under the School section in the menu on the left side of the FACTS homepage. Then select Walden Family Information Forms. There you will find links to student and parent information forms, the student medical form, technology agreement forms, transportation permission, and emergency contact forms. Please review each of those forms and edit any information you find that is incorrect.
Technology USE Agreements
Walden students will be issued a device to support them with their classes and learning. K-2nd Grade students will receive an iPad and 3rd-12th Graders will receive a Chromebook. In order for your student to be given their device, you will need to fill out the technology permission forms available on the Family Information Forms page of the FACTS Family Portal. If you filled out the forms last year, please access the forms to confirm that your information is still correct. If you do not have a family portal account yet, please see these instructions on setting that up and accessing it. If you would like some more information on the iPads and Chromebooks, please visit the Walden Technology Resource Page.
You will need to complete the documents for each student that you have here at Walden. These documents need to be filled out before you come to Walden to get your students' devices in the first week of August. Kindergarten through 3rd Grade students will receive their devices in class. For all other students, please use this link to sign up for a time to pick up your student's device.

Textbook and Classroom Resources
Walden is ordering all textbooks and classroom resources for families this year. The fees for these materials will be charged to the FACTS accounts after the start of school. All classroom materials, textbooks, and online portals will be handed out to students at the beginning of the school year. Aside from student supplies, families do not have to purchase any materials on their own. Walden will not be facilitating used book buybacks.
MEDICATION DROP-OFF & PAPERWORK (REQUIRED)
IF YOUR CHILD REQUIRES PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION (either daily or an emergency response medicine, e.g. an Epipen) please schedule an appointment with our Healthcare Coordinator.
Medication Drop-Off: Schedule a time with Leslie Logsdon between the following dates and times.
Dates: July 29–August 6
Times: Between 9:00am-2:00pm
Paperwork and medication will not be accepted on the first day of school. Families must set up an appointment with Ms. Logsdon to turn everything in before they start school.
Immunizations (REquired)
Updated 2024 Kentucky Approved immunization certificates are required to be submitted to our Healthcare coordinator, Leslie Logsdon, no later than August 5th, 2024.
K-8 STEAMWORKS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Under the guidance of Walden School Librarian and Director of Enrichment Programs, Ms. Christen Brown, the STEAMworks After School Program will be in full swing with a variety of fun and engaging activities.

Lower School PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT
We are so excited to welcome you all to meet the incredible educators that will be working with your students this school year. Parent Information Night will be on Thursday, August 29th, from 6:00-7:00pm for K-4th Grade parents.
Come and experience “A Walden Day” by participating in a mock schedule that will allow you to experience your child’s school day. The evening will focus on three areas, morning meeting, reading, and math. You should take away from this evening the importance of morning meetings, how to grow your child’s love for reading and how to support your child’s mathematical abilities.
Dr. Melissa Sutherland, Director of K-6th Grade Student Success Services, and Mrs. Von Busch will greet parents/guardians at the front door and direct them to their child’s classroom.

High School Parent Information Night
We are so excited to welcome you all to meet the incredible educators working with your student(s) this school year. The parent information night will be Thursday, August 22, from 6:00-8:00 pm for high school parents. Please have your student’s schedule printed or available on your phone through the FACTS portal, or ask your student to write down their schedule for you. The night will be designed for you to follow your student’s daily schedule to meet your student’s outstanding teachers. Below is the plan you will follow during the information night:
6:00-6:15 = A Block • Monday/Wednesday - 1st Period
6:20-6:30 = B Block • Monday/Wednesday - 2nd Period
6:35-6:45 = C Block • Monday/Wednesday - 3rd Period
6:50-7:00 = D Block • Monday/Wednesday - 4th Period
7:05-7:15 = E Block • Tuesday/Thursday - 1st period
7:20:-7:30 = F Block • Tuesday/Thursday - 2nd period
7:35-7:45 = G Block • Tuesday/Thursday - 3rd Period

Parent Information Night is your opportunity to experience an overview of your student’s classes. We have limited time for each class, so if you would like more information about a class or have a question about your student’s progress, we encourage you to set up individual meetings with our faculty.
We also have our Parent/Teacher conferences on October 24th and 25th. There will be more information on how to schedule those conferences at a later date.
