HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER & Student Advisor

Walden School, a small, independent, student-centered school, is looking for our next High School Mathematics teacher and student advisor. This position is tasked with implementing a hands-on, project-based math program that focuses on 21st-century pedagogy. This position will focus on classes will be taught at the early high school grades including Algebra and Geometry. This position will also be tasked with teaching our ACT math prep. program. As an advisor, this position will implement an advisory program that is based in social/emotional curriculum. Candidates should feel mentoring students is equally as important as teaching content.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in education or related field, two years experience teaching in a classroom setting and willingness to participate in extracurricular activities. Walden is a diverse community that draws students and families with a wide variety of ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Candidates who have experience with diverse populations are especially encouraged to apply.
