Walden Campout

Friday-Sunday, August 22-24
General Butler State Park

We hope you can join us for our third annual WPA-sponsored Walden Campout! The campout will take place Friday, August 22 through Sunday, August 24. This informal gathering provides an opportunity to mingle with friends or explore on your own -- choose your own adventure! Both RV and tent sites (with water & electric hookups) are available. Tent sites can accommodate 2 cars & 2 tents. and The WPA will provide pizza Saturday evening. Each family will be responsible for booking and paying for their own campsite and bringing their own food for remaining meals. The campground activity offerings will be provided closer to the event. If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to contact Sarah Recio at sarah.cusick@gmail.com. Registration deadline is August 1.

TO REGISTER FOR THIS FUN FAMILY EVENT PLEASE COMPLETE
BOTH OF THE STEPS BELOW:

  • STEP 1: Email Rita Davis at General Butler State Park at rita.davis@ky.gov. Specify that you are with the Walden School Group and provide the following information:

    • Name & phone number

    • Type of site requested (tent or RV, include type/length of RV)

    • Number of people on your site

  • Rita will contact you to complete your booking. Please note, there is often a delay in response time so you may need to follow-up if you haven't heard back in a week.

  • STEP 2Let us know you are coming! After completing Step 1, email Sarah Recio at sarah.cusick@gmail.com with the following information:

    • Number adults attending

    • Number of children attending and grades/ages
