GREEK FESTIVAL

2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 8th Grade

Greek Festival

Friday, April 15
9:00-10:30am

Everyone in Grades 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 8th are being asked to dress in Greek attire (e.g., toga, chiton, or peplos) and tennis shoes. You can check the internet for toga instructions (don’t worry, students aren’t being graded on attire – it’s just to get everyone in the festive spirit!). Our festivities will begin with the grand entrance of the city-states for the Olympic games at 9:00am at Walden’s front carpool circle.

Enjoy the excitement of the javelin throw, foot races, and breathtaking chariot race! Olympic contestants must wear sneakers! Students’ Ancient Greek-inspired artwork will be on display. Finally, all students will enjoy a feast of Greek culinary delights for lunch. Should it rain that day, Olympic events will be canceled, but students are still invited to wear their Greek attire to school, and lunch will still be νόστιμο.
