WALDEN POETRY CAFE

For the past month, the 4th Grade students from Mrs. Green and Mrs. Tower's class, have been immersed in a poetry unit of study. This year, we are happy to include Mrs. Hallahan’s 5th Grade class to share their poetry as well, so that they can experience The Poetry Cafe.

Students have examined the rhythm and structure of poetry, as well as many poetic devices. Throughout their learning, they have been given time to apply their understanding of the poetic devices by writing their own creative poems. Each student will share a poem on Friday, May 14 at 8:30am.
