Walden Campout

Friday-Sunday, August 18-20
General Butler State Park

We hope you can join us for the first annual WPA-sponsored Walden Campout! The campout will take place Friday, August 18 through Sunday, August 20. Each family will be responsible for booking and paying for their own campsite and bringing their own food. The WPA will provide s’mores supplies and opportunities to relax and mingle!

To register for this fun family event please complete BOTH of the steps below:

  • STEP 1: Call Rita at General Butler State Park to reserve your campsite (502-732-4826). Tell her you are with Sarah’s Walden group. (You may need to leave a message and request a call back). Note: Tent sites 33-39, 64-78, 81-31, and RV sites 42-46 are blocked for our group. Tent sites will have electric and water hookups. RV sites will have 15/30/50 amp full hook-up. Group pricing is $59.58 for the weekend. Each site can accommodate 2 cars and 2 camping units. The booking deadline and cancellation date is August 1.   • STEP 2: Let us know you are coming! After completing Step 1, email Sarah Recio at sarah.cusick@gmail.com with the following information:

    • Site #

    • Number adults attending

    • Number of children attending and grades/ages

    • Are you interested in tie-dye? ($10 for youth t-shirts, $15 for adults)

    • Are you interested in mini golf? ($5 per person)
